I can hardly believe it's been 10 years since launching my first book - MICHAEL HUHN PHOTOS - editor (Walter Aubrey - London). Being just 23 then, the youngest photographer and author in the world to publish a male nude series in book form. I'm very proud of this title! Photography as a medium has chosen me to express my very own inner artistic sensibilities. Born in Brooklyn, raised in Richmond Hills, Queens, New York, lived in Greenwich Village and currently based in Los Angeles, I'm deeply grateful for my parent's raising me around such a colorful back drop. Especially mindful, was my dad's bar - Pete's Bar - and having had the opportunity to be introduced at such an early age to a real array of some of Queen's most eccentric characters. from funeral directors to drag queens, I have always believed it's not where you're from, it's where you're going and if you look back, you can really see how far you have gone.

Early on, I have recognized if you are a true artist, you learn to work with what you have. I may not have had a studio then, but what I did have was a burning desire and vision to become who I am today. I think all the creatures of the universe have many artistic talents beneath their layers of flesh. How one's talent is cultivated depends very much on trusting one's inner guides and allowing your creative vision to flow.

I remember standing on West 4th Street in Greenwich Village an entire summer selling my original early works to visiting tourists and local residences alike. I don't think it would have been possible early on to express myself without the sheer trust of the models that came before my lens. Too many to name but I thank each and everyone of them and you know who you are. A few of which have gone on to be our film stars of today! I've also gone on to do solo exhibitions publishing a best seller - PEEP SHOW - Janssen Verlag (Germany), magazine covers, editorials and art cards featuring some of my most celebrated images to date. I have photographed heads of states, rock stars, movie stars and porn stars. However, my most favorite is not the aforementioned. It is YOU, my private and commercial patrons.
